Wildfield Village by Solmar in Caledon: Prices, Floor Plans & Deposits (2026)

Wildfield Village is a freehold community by Solmar Development Corp at The Gore Road & Mayfield Road in Caledon, right on the Brampton border. It launched on June 17, 2026, and it's one of the busier low-rise releases in Peel this fall. It's also one of the projects our own site visitors keep coming back to. Below are the current numbers from the September 2026 price list, how the deposit works, and our honest view on who it suits.

Twenty-one floor plans have been released. Four (Goldenrod, Fern, Belfountain and Birch) are already marked sold out, and 17 are still available. That's a fair amount of demand for a project only four months past launch. You can also browse every plan on our Wildfield Village project page.

Location & Neighbourhood

Wildfield is the old hamlet at the northeast edge of Brampton, where Caledon starts. Mayfield Road is the boundary, so you get a Caledon address with Brampton's Castlemore and Vales of Castlemore right across the street. Highway 50 and the Highway 427 extension are a short drive east, which is the main commute route toward Vaughan, Pearson and the 407. Bolton's shopping and services are to the north.

The trade-off: this is car country. The site has a Walk Score of 14 and a Transit Score of 36, so expect to drive for groceries, school drop-offs and most errands until the surrounding retail gets built. If walkability matters to you, an established Brampton resale pocket will suit you better today. People who buy here are betting on where this corridor will be in five to ten years, not on what's here right now.

Features

Solmar's marketing materials show a planned community park with a splash pad, tennis and basketball courts, and a cricket field. The cricket field is a smart touch for the Peel buyer base, and it's rare to see one built into a new subdivision. The home collection includes:

• Freehold townhomes: the entry point, starting at 1,351 sq. ft.
• Semi-detached and detached two-storey designs, many with two-car garages
• 4-bedroom layouts from 1,846 sq. ft., with 3.5-bath options on the larger plans (Aster, and Fern/Birch before they sold out)

Ask for the full features and finishes sheet before you sign. Standard finishes and upgrade costs make a real difference to your all-in price.

What the numbers say:

• 3-bedroom plans average about $868K for roughly 1,645 sq. ft. 4-bedroom plans average about $1.02M for roughly 2,106 sq. ft.
• The project averages about $508 per sq. ft. The bigger 4-bedroom plans are the best value per foot. Alton, Stonecrop and Bracken all come in under $480/sq. ft., while the smallest plans run $550–$600.
• Prices have already moved up. Average price per square foot went from about $489 at launch in June to about $502 a month later, a rise of 2.7%. That's typical of how releases price, and it's a reason to register early for the next phase. It does not guarantee future value.

Deposit Structure

The deposit is 10% total, spread over 12 months:

• $10,000 on signing
• $10,000 at 30 days
• $10,000 at 60 days
• $10,000 at 120 days
• $10,000 at 180 days
• $10,000 at 240 days
• Balance to 10% at 365 days

On the $749,900 Alder, that's $60,000 over the first eight months and about $15,000 more at the one-year mark. A 10% deposit spread across a year is easier on buyers than the 15–20% that many GTA launches ask for. It's one of this project's real strengths.

Why Invest — and Who It Suits

Good fit if you:

• Want a freehold home in Peel under $800K. Few new launches still offer that.
• Can wait for occupancy and prefer a staged deposit to saving a big down payment up front.
• Commute by car toward the 427, Vaughan or the airport corridor.
• Want a growing community with a cricket field and modern parks planned in.

Think twice if you:

• Need transit or want to walk to amenities. A Walk Score of 14 is low, even for a new subdivision.
• Need a firm closing date. Occupancy hasn't been published, so ask the builder for the tentative closing date and the outside date in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale before you sign.
• Are investing on tight numbers. Carrying costs, development charges and closing adjustments on new builds can add up, so run the full math first.

Prices have already moved since launch and four plans are gone. If you're interested, act soon while you still have a full choice of lots.
